Sales Ledger Functions

An account on the POS can be charged to a ledger account at any time if the account has the appropriate credit limit, and it is not on a hold status.

  1. With the account open on the POS, press the Charge Ledger button (usually found in the pay panel).

  2. The Select Ledger screen will be displayed, showing all currently available ledger accounts.

  3. Select the ledger account by pressing the required account button or, if there are too many accounts, use the keyboard and Search button to find the account needed.



  4. The Confirmation of Charge to this ledger account will then be displayed.

  5. If the account is on hold the Yes button will be greyed out, the charge will not be allowed, and the credit terms and current balances are displayed for reference.

  6. Press the Yes button to continue.



  7. The Sales Entry Reference screen may be displayed if configured; if it is, enter any required reference (this will appear on the customer invoice)

  8. Press the OK button to continue.

  9. Enter the amount required to be paid to the ledger account

  10. Press the Enter button to continue and complete the charge.

  11. The Transaction Approved screen will be displayed

  12. Press the Accept Signature button to confirm the final stage of the charge to ledger, or Decline Signature to cancel.


Account Settlements

  1. Press the Settle Ledger button (usually located in the pay panel).

  2. The Select Ledger Account screen will be displayed showing all current sales ledger accounts that can have a payment made against them.

  3. Select the account from the screen or use the keyboard and Search button to find the required account.

  4. The Make a Payment to this Ledger Account window will be displayed showing the current credit terms and current balance

  5. Press the Yes button to continue to make a settlement.



  6. Enter the value of the settlement to be made to the ledger account and press the Enter button to continue; this will then show, on the order display, the settlement figure due for payment.

  7. The settlement should now be paid by any accepted payment method(s)

  8. Select the payment type, and enter the amount required.

  9. Press the Enter button.



Ledger Balance Query

  1. Press the Ledger Balance button (usually located in the pay panel).

  2. From the Select Ledger Account screen choose the required account or, using they keyboard, search for the required account and press the Search button.

  3. The Current Balance window will be displayed

  4. Press the OK button or press the Print button for a printed copy of the balance information.
